Capabilities / Self-Perform

What we self
perform.

Every shovel, every pipe, every yard of asphalt below is in-house ACI scope — not subcontracted out, not coordinated across separate trades. One license, one PM, one schedule, every discipline on the page below.

The actual scope

Six categories. Dozens of line items.

01

Underground Utilities

Wet utilities below grade — water, sewer, and storm systems sized from neighborhood plats up to 12-inch arterials. Recent example: 5,500 LF of 12″ water main on the Brewery District revitalization in Tacoma.

  • Water utility distribution piping
  • Sanitary sewer mains
  • Storm drainage piping
  • Force mains & lift stations
  • Inverted siphons
  • Combined utility sewerage
  • Detention & retention ponds
  • Stabilization ponds & basins
  • Well abandonment
  • Natural-gas distribution piping
02

Roads & Surfaces

From subgrade to surface course on city streets, arterials, and private site roadways. Includes complete-streets work — ADA curb ramps, pedestrian refuge islands, midblock crossings, and HAWK signal beacons.

  • Asphalt paving
  • Grind & overlay
  • Subgrade preparation
  • Curb, gutter & sidewalk
  • ADA-compliant ramps
  • Pedestrian refuge islands
  • Midblock crossings
  • HAWK beacons
  • Bike lane build-out
  • Channelization & striping
03

Site Earthwork

The dirt move that has to happen before anything else gets built — clearing, mass excavation, and structural fill at scale, on schedules that hold the rest of the trades behind us.

  • Site clearing & grubbing
  • Mass excavation
  • Topsoil stripping & stockpiling
  • Structural fill placement
  • Trench excavation & backfill
  • Subgrade preparation
  • Geotechnical exploratory excavation
  • Off-gassing mitigation
  • Methane venting
  • Earth embankment dams
04

Wetlands & Environmental

Permitted environmental work: building wetlands from scratch, restoring damaged systems, fish passage and stream habitat improvements, and full site remediation.

  • Constructed wetlands
  • Wetlands restoration
  • Stream & creek restoration
  • Fish passage improvements
  • Riparian habitat construction
  • Site remediation
  • Erosion & sediment control
  • Stormwater BMP construction
  • Pond covers & reservoirs
  • Compensatory mitigation
05

Power & Dry Utilities

The dry-side of the trench: electrical raceways, communications, and signal infrastructure, all installed by IBEW-signatory crews. Recent example: full electrical duct bank on the Brewery District build.

  • Electrical underground ducts & raceways
  • Underground manholes & vaults
  • High-voltage wiring (underground)
  • Medium-voltage wiring (underground)
  • Site grounding
  • Communications utility ducts
  • Signal detection systems
  • APS pedestrian signals
  • Electrical duct bank
  • Streetlight foundations & conduit
06

Survey & Project Controls

In-house GPS / AutoCAD survey and project management means a single source of truth for layout, takeoff, and schedule — no waiting on an outside surveyor to come back to confirm a line.

  • GPS layout & staking
  • AutoCAD takeoff
  • Machine control models
  • As-built surveys
  • In-house project management
  • Schedule control (P6 / MSP)
  • Submittal & RFI management
  • Self-performed estimating
  • Bid-day coordination
  • 24/7 emergency response dispatch

What ends up in the ground

Four systems. All ours.

Water

Distribution mains 4″ through 12″+, fire-protection looping, hydrants, services and meters, valve clusters, well abandonment.

Sewer & Stormwater

Gravity sanitary, force main, lift stations, storm conveyance, detention/retention vaults and ponds, BMP outfalls.

Surfaces

Subgrade through final lift — HMA paving, grind & overlay, concrete curb / gutter / walk, ADA ramps, channelization.

Power & Signals

Electrical duct bank, manholes & vaults, HV/MV wiring, traffic signal foundations, HAWK beacons, communications conduit.
